You were out spoken, bold and intimidating.

I was shy, quiet and invisible.

We fit perfectly.

Because at a second glance,

You bled insensitivity, spoke rudely and behaved inconsiderately.

I was covered in peace, breathed wisdom and shed kindness.

But that was long ago, wasn’t it?

Growing up changes your thoughts and that changes everything.

Now you’re wiser, happier and kinder.

And me?

Well, I’m lost, sad and broken down.

But it’s exciting because I get to discover new paths, find happiness again and build myself up in a way that my mind thinks is ideal and my heart knows is right.
